No-Limits Mindset: Seeing opportunities where others see limitations
The way we think shapes the way we act. The more we believe something is possible, the more we are willing to try. And the more we try, the more we can achieve.
A simple example
Two salespeople visit the Sahara Desert. One says:
"No market here. Nobody wears shoes here."
The other says:
"Huge market. Nobody wears shoes here."
Both see the same reality, but they see different opportunities. Mindset shapes action.
No-Limits Mindset is not about believing that everything is easy. It is about identifying and removing unnecessary mental barriers that prevent people and organizations from developing.
When we challenge established ways of thinking, we open the door to new opportunities, better decisions and stronger execution.
How we work together
Easy to get started, with a clear process.
1. Conversation – We have an informal conversation about your situation and what you want to achieve.
2. Understanding – We learn about your organization, challenges and goals.
3. Proposal – You receive a concrete proposal tailored to your needs, including content, scope and price.
4. Execution – We get started with practical tools and close follow-up throughout the process.
Who is Amund, and how can I help?
With a background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and as a European leader at Gartner, I led people across 30 countries and gained early experience in how people and organizations develop across cultures and markets.
Since 2007, I have worked with more than 100 organizations as an advisor, trainer and development partner. I have delivered hundreds of workshops and keynotes, written five books and developed tools that help leaders and employees understand, challenge and develop themselves.
Today, I work with change leadership in international companies, sales development in consulting firms and culture development in the financial sector.

I have been a leader myself, not just observed leaders. I have been part of organizations, not just analyzed them. I develop people through training, workshops and tools, not just give advice.
I believe in continuous learning and renewal. In 2021, I wrote a book about creating a meaningful working life for young people. This led to workshops with more than 3,000 young adults and gave me valuable insight into the perspectives of the next generation on work and leadership.
Through collaboration with experts in areas such as stress and psychological safety, and as interim European leader for the US-based company Sago, I have continued to develop my understanding of today’s leadership and organizational challenges. 4
My clients get a partner who combines leadership experience, practical tools and the ability to develop people. I simplify complexity, create clarity and help organizations move from insight to action.

Organizations that succeed over time must be able to adapt, develop and create strong collaboration between people.
I help organizations develop culture, collaboration and ways of working that make them better prepared for change and growth.
Through assessments, workshops and practical processes, I help organizations:
• create better collaboration between teams and leadership
• build a culture based on responsibility, learning and development
• handle change effectively
• identify and remove barriers that limit development
In organizational culture work, I use tools such as OCAI (Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument) to understand the current culture and help organizations define their desired direction.
I have worked with organizations such as Landkreditt, Hurtigruten and Systek on organizational development and change processes.
The goal is to help organizations unlock more of their people’s potential and create better results together.

Great results start with the ability to understand people, both customers and employees.
I help organizations develop sales teams that create greater value for customers, and leaders who bring people with them through clear and effective communication.
With experience leading sales organizations across 30 countries and several books on sales, I have developed a practical approach to sales development. The focus is not only on sales techniques, but on helping teams better understand customer needs, create stronger value propositions and succeed in complex sales processes.
I also help leaders with change communication: how to communicate direction, create understanding and engage people in change.
Through workshops, training and practical tools, I help organizations:
• develop a more value-based sales process
• better understand customers and decision-makers
• communicate more clearly and create greater impact
• bring people along in changes and new initiatives
I have worked with sales teams and leaders from organizations such as Klarna, Stø (formerly BankID BankAxept), Tine and Gartner.
The goal is to strengthen the ability to create value, for customers, employees and the organization.

Many of the biggest barriers to development are not found in the market, resources or our capabilities, but in how we think about what is possible.
No-Limits Mindset is about identifying and removing unnecessary mental barriers that prevent people and organizations from developing.
Through my work, I have identified seven mental traps that often limit action and development:
• “We have tried it before” – the past limits future possibilities
• “This will not work here, we are different” – the belief that our situation is unique
• Fear of failure – preventing us from trying
• The need to be right – limiting learning and new perspectives
• Established truths – ideas that are never challenged
• Assumptions – accepting things as true without questioning them
• Spending energy on what we cannot influence – instead of what we can actually do something about
These thought patterns are human, but they can also prevent us from seeing new opportunities and finding better solutions.
A personal example
At 61, I learned to do handstands and performed one on a rocky cliff that later appeared on the front page of Norway’s largest newspaper.
Not because handstands are important in themselves, but because it illustrates the core of No-Limits Mindset: Many limitations are learned, and they can be challenged.
No-Limits Mindset is not about believing that everything is easy. It is about challenging limitations that do not need to be there, asking better questions and seeing opportunities where others see obstacles.
Through workshops and training, I help leaders and employees:
• challenge established ways of thinking
• see new possibilities
• handle change and uncertainty better
• turn new perspectives into action
The goal is to create people and organizations that do not let unnecessary limitations stand in the way of development and results.
Format: Keynotes, workshops, tools and training
Duration: From 60–90 minute keynotes to longer engagements
Group size: Flexible, from leadership teams to the entire organization
